From scratch created pet feeder (for my cat actually). It started as regular Arduino project, at the final become pretty complicated device:
- No manual configuration (with display and buttons). It uses load sensor which measure food weight, and fill the bowl on configured time period (in config file)
- Sound signal when container is empty or food path is clogged
- Button sequence tare calibration (can use any bowl which fit in bowl plate
- Integrated with HomeAssistant (optional) - remote feeding, feeder liveness probe
- Grafana dashboard and HomeAssistant Lovelace card available
For more details, BOM, guidelines and firmware code can check Gitlab repo
https://gitlab.com/ptsonkov-public/engineering/yofeed/-/tree/v2.1?ref_type=tags
__Note:__ valve.stl (propeller) should be used from cereal dispenser, or printed with TPU
This is from scratch redesign of YoFeed v1.0, but sharing same concept and Arduino code (with some changes)
