The Z-axis supports and guide rod spacer are designed to provide a ridgid z-axis. The top supports help with alignment, by capturing the tops of the lead screws and holding the position relative to the guide rods. Users may find that the printer performs best with these disengaged.
Depending on your prints, a set screw may be helpful in capturing the bearings, as show in the image.
The mock bearings are for the top brackets and may be useful for alignment.

-- A better lead screw Z-carriage mechanism/bracket is needed, something that allows for the screws to wobble a bit without causing torque inconsistencies or allowing lateral movement of the screws to affect Z-height.
