I wanted a desiccant holder that could deal with the small-sized zeolite beads and preferably did have a million stop and starts when printing. After a lengthy search I was giving up and had the idea of a vase-mode print with gaps. Returning to the keyboard I hit a key more or less by accident and advanced one more line in the search only to find that very thing! And it was customizable too.
You will need the excellent [Strawberry Pot Desiccant Jar](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3666841) by debren27. Print it with the stock 40mm diameter and any other changes you may want. For the smaller openings I wanted I set:
opening_radius=4;
opening_height=4;
openings_per_level=20;
The threaded insert should readily fit in the top of the holder. Glue it in place. I ran a bead of cyanoacrylate around the insert shoulder and that worked fine on the PLA that I was using.
