This is a replacement arm for the Zerotech Dobby. Although it is printed in PLA here I think that something stronger and with a higher glass temperature would be better, maybe something like polycarbonate which I have not tried.
The channel down the middle is intended for the motor wires such that, once this arm has been installed, if it needs replacing it can be removed without desoldering the motor wires. It might be best to secure the wires in their channels using a drop of hot glue or something similar.
When replacing the arm much the best thing to do is to desolder the motor wires before doing anything else although, at a pinch, the arm can be replaced with the motor wires still attached.
To install the new arm do the following:-
1. (Ideally) desolder the motor wires.
2. Pop off the small cap on the underside of the old arm. This can be done by inserting a sharp blade between cap and arm.
3. Peel off the thin plastic cover on the bottom of the arm. This will e
