I decided I wanted to grow my different types of Zoas in a way that was easy to move around or even change tanks as I've had plenty of fish have the taste for them in the past.

I used Crisco to line the mold parts and even hold them together while using a 50/50 mix of sand and tile grout as my material. Needs to cure for 2 full days before removing as my first attempt simply cracked into pieces. (also, didn't use anything for a mold release)

Center plug is large enough to drop in a 3/4" frag plug. Chose that size as I have more zoas on my frag rack that came mounted to smaller plugs plus it fits the curvature of the dome better.

The casting is just shy of 3" long and a bit over 2" wide

I was also able to simply fill my small alignment hole with crisco on one mold to make a solid puck to glue on frags. I have no clue if crisco is reef safe but I figured its at least a food grade substance and the pucks could be cured just like rock if someone wanted to be extreme. My L
