Zongzi, or sticky rice dumplings, are a traditional Chinese delicacy often enjoyed during the Dragon Boat Festival (on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month). The main ingredient of zongzi is glutinous rice, which is stuffed with various fillings such as pork, salted egg yolk, or sweet bean paste. To make zongzi, the glutinous rice and fillings are wrapped in bamboo leaves (commonly used for this purpose), then securely tied with strings, and finally steamed or boiled until fully cooked.
