After a year from this design, I have walked away from the inductive sensor and upgraded to a photoelectric sensor. it works the same way and no changes in firmware.... just the hardware has changed.
With this been said, I found out and now I "understand" a bit more, is.... that I did not need to use a voltage divider, that the signal's pin was looking for the "short"- gro
