Edit: 5/30/17: I had a comment recently from TeamTEOR saying that he had done some tests regarding the 40mm stock fan Vs this adapter. According to his tests the adapter did improve the cooling on his printer. I still don't have any of the tools needed to measure any differences myself, so I just have to take his word for it.
