Kenwood TH-D72a and spare battery holder

This is a holder for a Kenwood TH-D72a hand held radio. I find that the battery drains if I leave it connected, even with the radio off. So I designed this to hold two batteries behind, and the radio in the front. It is generic enough that it can be used with other radios.

please note, the design is not supposed to hug the radio. I left the design as is to allow for the space where the battery should go. So the "arms" on the front part actually rest on the back of the radio, and not around th
