I'd spent a lot of time trying to get my e-steps right, after enough I made this tool.
You put a bowden/reverse bowden in one end, and feed the printer from the other (you could just as well put it in a bowden feed to the extruder).
To use the tool, use a fine pen to mark the filament in the first window. Feed a known distance (10mm starting out, 50 for fine tuning) and see where the mark stops.
If you feed "10" mm, and you're one window too far, your extrusion multiplier is 20% too hig
