I have modified the arm to put in an indicator for pressure and moved the 12mm bearing so that it contacts the drive gear in the right place

An adjustable arm is a must for those wavy filaments that do not easily pass through the tube.

This uses the commonly available 4x12x4 bearing. The Arm requires one m4-.7x20 (socket head or set screw), one m2.5x10 and one m3-.5x20 socket head screws. The Amazon kit has all required screws and the bearing has an Amazon link.
