My other holder had an issue with it shearing off on really bumpy roads. I decided to redo it utilizing Ram Mount's RAM-B-238 http://www.rammount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045050051056085/Default.aspx .

This allowed for much more strength.
