Model Description:This download contains a highly detailed model of an early model StuG III AusF G assault gun, featuring the long-barreled 7,5cm L/48 cannon and a plethora of details faithfully recreated to represent the early version of the vehicle. Documentation and references for the real vehicle were rigorously studied to make the model as geometrically accurate as possible, except in the cases where printability would have to be sacrificed (such as the fender thickness). Historical Description: The StuG III was the most produced German armored vehicle during World War II. Referred to as an assault gun, early versions of the vehicle possessed the short-barreled 7,5cm L/24 cannon and were used for infantry support. As the war progressed, the StuG III gradually shifted to playing a role more akin to that of a tank destroyer, being upgraded to the L/43 cannon with the StuG III AusF F, and later the L/48 with the AusF F8 and G.
