Yesod

The Tree of Life in mystical Kabbalah. The 10 sefirot. The 10 worlds through which the spirit descends, before returning to the Source – Kether, the 1st sefirah. Malkhut is the earthly sefirah, the 10th, the dimension in which the higher realms crystallise into matter and in which the flame of the spirit hides without, however, being able to be extinguished: for this reason she is chained to the throne, queen of materiality, whilst in the magical chalice the flame of the Spirit burns, ready to return to the source, traversing the entire tree in reverse. On this journey, she will first encounter Yesod, the sephira of the moon, the watershed between the physical realm and the hyperphysical dimensions. Guardian of the Moon, Yesod ensures that what comes from above may descend, and that what is below is worthy of ascending; neither angel nor demon, a hybrid creature confined to the shadowy lunar dimension, it is friend and guide to the pure, enemy and nightmare to the impure.
