Aquarium Filter Sponge Adapter

I was inspired by an Aquarium Co-op YouTube video to add a sponge to the intake on my Fluval 307. The adapter has a 18mm inner diameter. The sponge I used has a 2cm inner hole that goes all the way through ant is 7.5cm long.

There are no special print settings. I printed vertically. I did sand a few blobs from the inside diameter to make things fit.

Note: The original strainer has a floating ball valve in it that I did not try to replicate. I suspect this is a priming aid but I am not sure.
