Created this several years ago but never got it fully working, but I figured the 3d models could be reused by someone else or used as a base for another project.
This was original designed to use an ESP8266/ESP32 along with some other off the shelf parts from Adafruit (listed below). But the stl that houses all of the electronics was made to be replaced/updated, so that I could replace the ESP8266 with a Pi or any other configuration.
You can also find the original firmware and Android app that I wrote for this here: https://github.com/marsara9/PetFeeder. The exploded view / assembly instructions are in the original Sketchup file on github, although this is meant to just snap together. Note though that I haven't touched the code on github in years and while the firmware works, the Android app is mostly incomplete.
The main roadblock that I ran into wasn't able to find a way to get enough volts to the stepper motor in order to turn the "auger" with the weight of the food.
