Basic Filament Dry Box
Not really posting a thing but rather a build list and collection of things. I wanted to build a very basic heated filament dry box using as little purchased material as possible. It needed to house 4+ spools, desiccant, a heater, and be able to swap between spools on my printer without opening the boxy. This is merely a collection of the files I used to build this, provided by the fine members of the 3D printing community, as well as my basic process:
Purchased
1. 32 qt sealed tote (Walmart, with blue gasket, 2 latches on each long end, different sizes)
2. 3.7 lb color changing desiccant (Amazon, can probably use less)
3. Adjustable reptile heater pad (Amazon, 12x8)
Stuff I found around the house:
1. PVC Pipe (roughly the diameter of the hole in your spool)
2. PC4-M10 fittings (1 for each roll)
3. PTFE tube (to go from box to printer)
Printed:
1. PVC hangers (Scaled to fit PVC and then chopped some thickness out, all in Prusa)
2. Flathead, wa
