This is my attempt at building the Star Wars BB8 droid. The main parts can be 3D printed.
I designed the parts completely from the ground up.
The biggest part is the shell. If you can get your hands on 200 mm diameter acrylic shells, then don't print the one here.
The mass inside and the wheels have been adapted for the simple brushed dc motors. The ones I am using are 52 mm in diameter and 20 mm height. A servo will be used to control the head.
