UPDATE 6/6/2017- I reprinted these laying flat using supports to use nylon in .1 layers and they came out very strong. installed along with my thumb screws (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2363123) to eliminate the bed leveling springs.
UPDATE: added file for a 220x250 build plate, moved holes .5mm for easier fit.
I loved the concept but needed different sizing for the Anet A8
Modeled in Solid Edge (source file uploaded)
This mounts between the heated aluminum bed and the leveling springs.
Now you can mount a glass or garolite sheet 220x240 with binder clips without having to worry about the clips hitting the nozzle. (extend it in the Y axis to avoid clearance issues)
I use 1/16" thick (1.5 mm) garolite with PVA glue on top for everything from PLA to nylon with the only adjustment being bed temperature. best part is I can pull a hot print off the bed and toss it in freezer to chill quickly, after 2-5 minutes the print pops right off with a little flexing of the garolite s
