Brass Marker Vertical Stripes

Most other solutions make concentric rings around the brass and require you to mount each round individually and rotate the round by hand such as:

Effective but time consuming.

Eben3004 was thinking outside the box and came up with this solution:

It allows you to just press the rounds through the hub and watch them come out the bottom nicely marked. Vertical lines vs. rings.

I liked the concept but wanted to just mount it to my single stage reloading press and use regular Sharpie markers. I modified a printable seating die with tubes for the markers but once the depth was set right to draw the lines, the pointed tip of the marker would catch on the case rim.
To get around that glitch, I found a parametric spring loaded battery holder by Entity325.
