Cable height meter

I needed measure the height of cables crossing my garden, so I bought a relatively cheap laser distance meter PLEM 50 C3 and try to measure the height.

Biggest trouble was with my shaky hands, because you must point directly to cable for a moment.

I designed holder for PLEM 50 C3 laser meter, which can be mounted on 30 mm tube or trekking pole with zip ties.

Laser meter securely fits in this holder upward and downward, so you can firstly measure "zero" height from ground (dont forget to switch to measure from top of laser meter!)and add this value to other measurements. (switch back to measure from bottom of laser meter!).

Measurement tips:
- it´s easier to measure in the dusk or night
- be patient, It takes me about 15 sec to point accurately to wire
- use "continuous measurement" mode on laser meter

(tested with 22 kV wires a telephone cable)
