Cable Winder

This is a re-useable cable winder that I designed after my old ones broke when removing the old cables. The two piece top and screw allow for the easy removal of old or damaged cables, so that the winder can be used again. I designed this winder with a larger inside diameter, because I did not want my cables wound really tight. Most cables will require the large size winder and top. Longer cables with a jacket will require the large tall version. All sizes use the same screw. The screw can be tricky to get started and tends to bind on the first use. There is a coin slot in the bottom. Go slow, working the screw back and forth. If you go too fast it will get stuck. Once it has been screwed in all the way, it can be taken in and out relatively easy. I printed one base with fuzzy skin, using a modifier to block fuzzy skin, keeping the fuzzy skin to the very outside edge. It turned out well and I will be using that technique for all future prints.
