Camera vertical level

A lens mounted phone holder which utilises the level in your smart phone to set your camera perfectly level to your shoot surface.

Note: this is designed for shooting down from the ceiling only!

Camera: Any Canon EF mount camera
Phone: Designed for the LG G4 but will work with any phone that has a level front surface and is no wider than 77mm
App: Currently using an app called Bubble, designed by Ben Zibble (www.ktk.bz) and available for free at the Google Play Store. But any level app will work, as long as it has a calibrate option.

Instructions:

1. Attach the device to the camera.
2. Mount the camera to the ceiling, preferably with a geared head as pictured. The mount should be very solid to prevent any wobble.
3. Open the app, go to options -> calibrate. Place the phone on your shoot surface and wait 5 seconds.
4. Take the phone (being careful to maintain the same orientation) and slide into the device.
5. Adjust the camera as needed.
