I needed a power unit for my laptop on 12V. I tried 2 commercial units which didn't work well. Now I have a China 200W DCDC convertor which can deliver twice the needed power and rarely gets warm. The unit has no free holes for mounting and the heat sink should be free.
This case just presses the pcb to the top. The edges of the heat sink are covered against accidental touch. As strain-relief the wires are put inside Z-type slots.
The opening for the heat sink got a bit too small which I opened up by hand. And I needed bolts (M3) with 55mm length which were nearly impossible to find. There is room for improvement, but as I probably won't need a second case, I leave that for the future.
