A hold down tool to help keep small parts secure and your fingers away from the blade on a chop saw / miter saw. Also can be handy on a cross cut sled on a table saw.
The head and foot are 3D printed and the handle is a piece of 1" diameter wood dowel.
Print the parts, cut the dowel to a length you're comfortable with, sand the ends of the dowel if necessary, insert the dowel into the head/foot (use a mallet or hammer if needed), ensure the head and foot are aligned with each other, and lastly apply a coat or two of Plasti-Dip to the contact points for extra grip.
You can omit the Plasti-Dip if you like. You could also substitute a couple of pieces of sand paper glued on.
