Coat Hook

I am currently taking a digital fabrication and design class at UW Milwaukee and this is what I designed for our coat hook project. For the final Coat Hook I have painted it pink.

The coat hook has a compartment on the inside, ideally for storing keys, bus pass, or mittens in the winter. There is also room to hang a bag or something on the base of the hook while the coat goes over the top.

This design is a part of a larger project I am working on which involves creating queer designs of everyday objects, such as coat hooks. Here I am referencing the pink triangle. I decided to keep my design more minimal and functional, because those are important to me in considering household design. This would be my version of a basic queer coat hook for my queer home. At this point I am working on creating a modified version of this coat hook that changes the proportion and angle between the small triangle base that attached to the wall and the final larger triangle profile that sticks out.
