Confetti Combs

This project was created by an FLL robotics team for the Masterpiece 2023-2024 season. They hope to encourage wildlife and native species in your area to make hiking more enjoyable and improve the environment. You can use this cut file and the following tutorial to create your own seed confetti.

How to Make Seed Confetti by using the Confetti Comb Mold

Make the mold

Download the Cut File (There is an .stl file for 3d printing or an STL for laser cutting.)
Cut out of a sheet of acrylic using a laser cutter or CNC.

Making a Frame for Laser cut file

Cut an X into a canvas using a box cutter knife
Rip the canvas sheets from the frame
Using a large piece of film place it under the canvas frame
Leave some room to wrap around frame
Staple the mesh tightly around the frame
Trim the excess mesh


Making a frame for 3d printed version
use a 6 inch embroidery hoop
Take apart the embroidery hoop
Insert a 8 inch square of window screen between the hoop pieces and tight
