Coordinate Reference 3D Scanner

The purpose of this reference tool is to provide a clearly defined reference surface in a 3D scan, with known and repeatable alignment in both pitch and roll. To achieve this, the 3d printed reference-part is aligned using a spirit level so that the relevant surfaces are perfectly level. This creates reliable reference planes within the scan. In the 3D scan data, this can then be used to accurately align the scanned object within CAD software. The reference tool can be easily positioned and adjusted thanks to a flexible arm with a magnet. The two mounting points provide additional flexibility for positioning and setup.
