I wanted to do away with the springs because I have a BLTouch on my CR-10V2 and frankly don't see the point of messing with springs anymore. I went looking and found the mounts by Bmonnin but I also have a Whambam magnetic system installed (love it) which means the bed bolts have a nut under the bed to lock them in place. So, I took bmonnin's strain relief into Fusion 360 and modified it, purchased stainless (for less heat transfer than aluminum) solid spacers from McMaster. One of the spacers press fits into the new strain relief...and voila, you are solid mounted. I've been printing like this for 3 months...no issues.

While going through my Linear rail/lightweight sled projects I decided that weight matters on the Y axis. Ringing and all of that. One thing I decided I could save weight on was my solid mounts. I switched from Stainless to PTFE, which also required a different strain relie
