uper early robot concept for the FTC 2025-2026 DECODE game challenge. This robot was inspired off many FRC robots from the Rebound Rumble 2012 game. It's been a good proof of concept for a few mechanisms but definitely has some flaws. Drivetrain - Robits Starter Chassis with 3" wheels and NeveRest 19.2 motors. Intake - 2.25" green compliant wheels driven by a NeveRest 13.7 motor. Conveyor - Polybelt and rollers from AndyMark driven by the same intake motor. Tower Floor - AM torque servo driven linkage to apply/remove compression to the conveyor belt. Launcher - 3" green stealth wheel and flywheel weights driven by a NeveRest 1:1 motor. Structure - Outside of the chassis, all of the structure is 3D printed. This had to be split into multiple pieces and bolted together instead of printing 1 long tube. The Goods - Pretty simple chassis and launcher. The chassis was built just using the starting build guide for the Robits chassis. The launcher is a non pivoting hooded system and is very common method to launch a ball. This system doesn't pivot so it's very simple in construction. The tower floor swings away so that artifacts aren't pushed into the launcher when attempting to pick up additional artifacts (they just spin in the tower). It is very consistent from the layup position. The Bads - The artifact is large so the intake, conveyor, and launcher take up the whole diagonal of the robot with very little space front to back and from the ground to the top. This prevents any adjustable hood features to improve shot locations. The release angle is very vertical so longer range shots are very hard/bounce out frequently. The size also will make it tough to fit with some robots for endgame. This robot doesn't have a lot of surface area in the direction of travel (front or back) so opening the gate is a little hard. There are areas a ball can get stuck. This is seen in the video when the artifact gets stuck between the electrical panel and the tower. Overall notes - This robot
