A diffuser is a device used in water and wastewater treatment systems to introduce air into water in the form of bubbles for the purpose of aeration and mixing. It plays a critical role in maintaining dissolved oxygen levels required for biological treatment processes and preventing stagnation in tanks and sumps. Composed of a disc-shaped body fitted with a flexible membrane (usually EPDM, silicone, or PU). The membrane contains micro perforations for uniform air distribution. Installed on lateral pipelines at the bottom of the tank. Disc Type Diffuser: Produces fine bubbles using a flexible membrane; high oxygen transfer efficiency. Applications: Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) Aeration tanks Equalization tanks Water sumps and reservoirs
