Here we are with my version of a full printed drone frame. It's very rigid and easy to assembled and it's only 240g with a diameter of 500mm. All the printed components are designed by topology optimization and they are engineered to withstand the maximum loads in flight.
The frame is for a quadcopter and it can be easily assembled with 16x M3x30mm bolts and nuts.
You can use every motor and every components you want regarding your needs.
You'll need to print:
- 1x lower_frame;
- 1x upper_frame;
- 4x rod.
My advice is to print the parts in PLA (for its lightweight and good rigidity) with:
- layer height: 2mm;
- wall thickness: 1.2mm:
- top/bottom thickness: 0.8mm;
- infill: 50%;
- support placement: everywhere.
If you have the possibility I'd suggest you to build my other version, with carbon or alluminium rods. It is more rigid and so more performant: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4916801
For anything else i suggest you to watch my Youtube videos (link at the e
