This is a low-profile splint designed to limit side-to-side bending of the top finger joint (radial or ulnar deviation of the distal interphalangeal joint), which often is felt as pain at the joint when holding a heavy object in such a way that it is pulling the fingertip to the side. Injuries to the collateral ligaments at this joint don’t require large or bulky supports, what you need is stabilization above and below the joint with rigidity on the injured side. This design provides targeted lateral support in a minimal form, revised many times resulting in a splint that minimally disrupts typing and stays comfortable on the back of the finger with openings positioned where your joints naturally protrude. It allows partial flexion of the joint, which helps maintain normal hand function and reduces disruption to everyday tasks. Because of this it may work well for other minor joint injuries where reduced bending is helpful.Heat forming: It’s intended to be printed flat in PLA which make
