This is a fire hydrant that will used by the dog. (you can guess the purpose !)
I saw a few, on site like Ebay or Temu, but they were only 14' high (35 cm), and that wasn't sufficient. Ended up designing my own !
The total height is 24" (61 cm), and is made of 3 main parts (Base, mid and top section) My design is taking the whole print area of my BambuLab. I even wanted to use a different filament for support, but there wasn't enough room for the prime tower !!!
I made my design, with as little support as possible.
The base and the mid section are assembled together with a threaded rod in the center. I used 1/4 -20 rod, as this was the easiest to find where I live. I did tap the thread directly into the base (no thermal insert) as not much force was required.
You will need 1-½ Kg of red filament, and ½ of silver filament. Total print time of around 60 hrs.
You will also need:
8 x M3 Thermal insert to fix the plug square onto the plugs(design was for 4 par square, but I only u
