The purpose of this device is to be able to easily flip up and down a plate that blocks all light from a device with a clock or indicator light, like a TV or cable box. Useful for places like a bedroom, where the red or blue 'standby' light from a TV may grow bothersome at night. Rather than using stickers, this gives a solution that allows the device to be visible when you want to see it, and dark when you want it dark.
This model can be scaled up or down depending on your device, I have successfully printed this model in 3/4 scale (5.25" long) and the hinge is still plenty strong and works fine.
At 100% scale, it is designed to cover up the bright clock and standby light on a cable TV DVR box. The cover plate itself is 7" x 2.25" (178x57mm) and the mounting plate is 7" x 1.7" (178x43mm). The mounting plate, marked "TOP", is mounted on top with two way tape, but you
