The purpose of this device is to be able to easily flip up and down a plate that blocks all light from a device with an indicator light, like a TV. Useful for places like a bedroom, where the red or blue 'standby' light from a TV may grow bothersome at night. Rather than using stickers, this gives a solution that allows the device to be visible when you want to see it, and dark when you want it dark.

This model can be scaled up or down depending on your device, I have successfully printed the hinge in 3/4 scale and it's still plenty strong and works fine.
At 100% scale, it is designed to cover up the bright standby light on a TV. Both the cover plate itself and the mounting plate measure 1"x1" (25.4x25.4mm). The mounting plate is marked with a dot on the side, since the hinge is not symmetrical. Mounting is done using two-way tape.
