###WORK IN PROGRESS###
###What it is###
This is a case for a foxhunting (radio signal direction finding) attenuator that is designed to connect directly to the PVC of a “tape measure yagi” antenna.
###Why I made###
This is a remix of the case Kevin N7RXE designed for the great attenuator John KC9ON makes and sells. Kevin’s case does a wonderful job of holding the board and the 9v battery in place and his cover is so good that I didn’t change it (other than my custom one with my call sign in it). The issue I had with his design is that the bulkhead is solid from the PVC tube into the body, perfect place to run the antenna line from the Yagi and there was no other provision for the antenna line in. There also was no provision for the radio connection. So I had to take the drill and “ugly it up” for it to work. I wanted an SO-239 and couldn’t find the right sized drill bit so I really uglied it.
###Where to get###
You can order the kit or a fully assembled attenuator from KC
