Alex80it's excellent open-shell jump insert design requires extensive internal supports to print, so you're not really saving any filament versus just printing a solid piece with web infill. Rather than printing a large throw-away support structure for a shell-design insert, it makes more sense to print a solid closed insert, just as Alex80it's other inserts are also solid (60-120 degree turn, star crossing, and wave slide). Closing the bottom of the jump insert makes it easier to print simultaneously with these other closed inserts using the "no supports" printing option. Also, to avoid slowing down the marble unnecessarily during the jump, the insert should have as much mass as possible so it absorbs less of the marble's forward momentum. So instead of throwing away a large plastic support structure, let's keep that mass in the insert.
