Hover boards, or balance scooters, seemed to home and go with a "bang." However, I think the newer, safer versions out now provide a great opportunity for those with limited mobility. An electric wheel chair or scooter can cost thousands of dollars, which is especially difficult for those on a limited, fixed income.

Enter the Handi Hover Mobility Bracket.

Once printed (I suggest ABS or PETG at 100% infill for strength) a 5/16" x 2" hex bolt is inserted through the hole, and felt tape is applied to the inside of the bracket. The bracket is secured to the center of a standard hover board using 3" pipe clamps.

The front casters are removed from the wheelchair (this one was $20 at the Salvation Army) and extra brackets added. The foremost bracket is attached to the Handi Hover Bracket with a few washers and a wingnut using thread lock.

All that the rider does is sits, and positions the feet on the pads of the balance scooter to propel themselves. Minimal strength of the
