The modular design allows you to exchange components depending on whether you seek secrecy or spectacle. The locking mechanism features multiple internal pins and grooves that must align with precision. Solving the puzzle to unlock the sphere requires careful observation and logical thinking, offering a rewarding experience for enthusiasts of mechanical challenges. For the weathered finish shown in the photos: I used basic water-based watercolor paints. By applying a very diluted wash into the recesses and wiping off the excess with a paper towel, I created shadow and depth. After drying, I cleaned the raised surfaces with a damp cloth to bring back the highlights and achieve a worn, aged look. What do you need for assembly? For Orb only fast-drying glue is needed. The example used here measures 31 mm in diameter and 22 mm in height. Two neodymium magnets with a diameter of 10 mm and thickness of 2–3 mm.
