A booby trap fuse utilizing a tilting head to activate. When the head of the fuse was pressed and tilted with ~15-25lbs, it pressed down an inner sleeve that when lowered enough, would release ball bearings holding the firing pin in place. This would allow the firing pin to hit the percussion cap at the bottom and ignite the detonator inserted underneath.
These would also include a 24 inch extension rod that would change the activation pressure from 15lbs, to just 1.5lbs.
These would primarily be used on antitank mines by inserting into the fuse well on the bottom of a tellermine and the mine being laid upside down. Despite their intended use, the adapter is universal and threads into any explosive, making it also ideal for booby traps and any other antipersonnel mines.
