Lead Straightener

A remedy for mangled leads or wires on electronic components.
Resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc.
Works with all standard breadboard size components.
Able to straighten multiple leads at once (such as a 2 lead capacitor or 3 lead transistor).

Designed to provide a flush clamping surface along the entire jaw length when clamped around a lead.

Simply stick the lead(s) into the jaw from the end (as shown in the cover photo), clamp down and pull.

Tip: If your lead/wire is bent too much it may take more than one pass. Rotate the lead/wire as necessary. When attempting to straighten severely mangled leads it may be helpful to feed them into the jaws slowly while clamping multiple times along it's length to "pre-straighten" it. This can help align the lead in the grooves better so it can be pulled straight through.
