I am using 12V LEDs as night lighting in my downstairs workshop area. This shade stops the dazzling of the eyes but directs the necessary illumination downwards. I have mounted them off the floor joists hanging by the push in (G4) connector mount leads.
I have used PETG transparent filament to allow diffuse glow sideways and there are holes at the top for venting.
I do not recommend that Halogen globes be used as the heat may melt the plastic.
If you use a shorter LED you may wish to reduce the height of the STL in your slicer to allow more light spread.
