This was a class project from the NCC Fab Lab.
In this class we took a group of students and put them through their paces. The objective of the course was to teach them some basic CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting , vinyl plotting etc.
Leonardo is a "+" style 450 quadcopter. We used a "+" configuration to make it easier for first time builders/ fliers to visualize how the flight system worked in relation to the air frame. As built Leonardo has the power and stability to do a fair amount of lifting.
There are tons of ways this design could be improved and we encourage everyone to do so on their own. Our course was not a class to build the best and most awesome quadcopter out there, but rather more about using various processes to create something.
I'm posting the files up here so that students can get access to the files they may need for replacement parts and to give them a place to flaunt their efforts ,design changes, successes and failures...
