Magic Cube 17

My design of a 17 layered magic cube aka rubik's cube puzzle. I have not printed nor assembled this puzzle yet as the total number of pieces is 1539 and they each need to be smoothed. Working on that at the moment.

Included in the model are only the unique pieces which is why only 1/8th-ish of a full puzzle is shown in the pictures.

Future plans are to print, build, and iterate the design further if needed. Currently working on getting the pieces smooth enough to mesh while still maintaining tight enough tolerances.
