Mail gauge

I needed a practical gauge for measuring the thickness of small packages. In Norway, postage costs are very different for packages over or under 2 cm in thickness. I modeled this measuring tool in Autodesk Fusion and printed it on the X1C using a single color change. By printing diagonally I was able to make it fit on the bed of the X1. I also made it quite thick as I wanted it to be very rigid. The Norwegian Postal Service has a red and white profile so I chose the same colors for this, it makes me think of “postage” as soon as I see it 😄 I printed it in PET-G from Fiberlogy Filaments, but I guess PLA will also work well.
