Mini Pulse Jet Prototype

Valveless 3D printed Pulse Jet PrototypeI designed a valveless Pulse Jet Engine based on the Lockwood Hiller concept. These simple, loud and extremely inefficient engines have always fascinated me and eventually I want to build a real one out of metal. But since I don't have the tools available yet, I started with a mini version as a prototype.Why even make a small version?As I discover more materials for 3D printing, I stumbled across the possibility of metal and ceramic FDM sintering which I would like to try next. Theoretically it is possible to get this to work, despite its small size. I just need to do more research and get the volumes & ratios right.Test Run with a PLA modelCuriosity caught me and I couldn't resist to try it out. Also, I tested it so you don't have to. Long story short: Creating flames is easy, actually running it is not.
