A 3D printable glider that prints fast and can glide!Design ConceptThe Glider_06 is an attempt to make gliders using a 3D printer. I found out that it is not possible to create a fully printable glider, and therefore, I solved the problem by designing parts that fit on a standard 10x2 mm wooden stick, which can be found in model shops. The educational value is created while understanding what each part does, and how important the placement and size of the wings and tail, and the location of the centre of gravity are. It allows for tinkering and experimentation. Other parts can be found in my other files on this website.UseThis model serves as an educational tool or hobby project for model glider enthusiasts aiming to understand flight dynamics through hands-on construction and flying trials. It glides very well indoors and outdoors on a day with no to little wind.Assembly Instructions - Very importantThe wing and tail connectors fit on a standard 10x2 mm wooden stick found in model shops. I cut the fuselage stick into approximately 30 cm, inserted the tail at the end, and positioned the wings somewhere in the middle, closer to the front. The centre of gravity can be adjusted by moving the wings and testing until it glides well. It is very important that the center of gravity is within the width of the wings, slightly to the front, and therefore, an added weight should be added to the front end. You can use a screw or a coin. I use paper clamps.NoteI don't want money to be the reason you can't have this print. If you're honestly unable to purchase or can't afford this print, and still want/ need to have it, send me a message and I will send it to you for free, no questions asked.
