This is a tool used to assist in loading a muzzle-loading rifle. There is a hollow core running through the ball and long arm. This is to accept a suitable length of .25in metal rod to add strength. The rod can be purchased online or at a hardware store. Use a narrow tool like a drift or a nail to push the rod all the way into the long arm and secure with glue. The wider hole running through the ball is for a neck cord.

The support tab on the short arm can be broken or cut off after printing. Do not print with supports! Cura filled in all the intentional voids with support material so I re-designed it to not need them.

After printing, I did a rough sanding on the whole tool. Then I mixed a small quantity of two part acrylic and coated the entire print. This will help protect it from the elements. I then gave it a mottled camo paint job and a few coats of matte spray acrylic to keep the shine down in the deer woods.
