During the last decade, wireless communication technologies have become an essential
part of the mechatronic products. This project aims to give you a hands-on experience in
taking your Arduino projects to another level, where devices can talk to each other through
a distributed computing network.

In this project, you will learn:
- How to realize wireless communications
- How to connect the ‘cloud’ and utilise its’ resources
- How to design for rapid prototyping with laser cutters
- How to develop a wifi connected product

For this project, you will use:
- esp8266 / nodemcu board
- stepper/servo motors
- Jumper cables
- acrylic
- A power supply
- A photo interrupter (GP1A51HRJ00F)

Your main task is to develop a IoT roll printer that can connect to bluemix / node red to
receive information(e.g. weather) and print it out on a paper roll (‘bonrulle’), one character/
icon at a a time.
